Geno is trying hard to impress the lady, “I toss salad!”

Gonchar with two bottles! True Russian!

Crosby sucking up to HCDB.

New kid on the block, Poni. “I didn’t sing up for this shit!”

That woman is eating Kris Letang with her eyes! Naughty Naughty!

That woman has no clue thats Jordan Leopold she is touching.

Feels like Fedotenko was photoshoped in … cuz his baby face is just too perfect.

Look Barbra Streisand in the middle and Paul McCartney from The Beatles right below her.

Brooks Orpik intimidated these people into smiling for the picture.

I have never seen anyone as happy as Mike Rupp.

2010 Skates & Plates Charity Gala Is Tomorrow, March 9th!

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Have you forgotten to book a table!?!?!

The event takes place tomorrow Tuesday, March 9 at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, PA between hours of 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

VIP Tables were only $10,000 dollars for 10 people and regular table for 10 people was only $7,500. If you have some spare change laying around the house i see no better use for it then to get drinks served by Evgeni Malking and Sidney Crosby! I wonder if this type of even is included in their contracts. Official event info on Penguins website.

Post Game Interviews: Malkin, Crosby & Johnson

Geno @ 0:39 “I am shoot”

Thanks to EmptyNetters for Post Game Review:

- First things first. Henrik Lundqvist as outstanding. If not for him, this is an 8-3 rout.

- The Penguins did dominate this game. They controlled the puck most of the night, especially from the third period on. This game should not have gone to overtime. The Penguins should have won this game in regulation.

- Marc-Andre Fleury was the biggest reason for that. He simply was not good today. Needs to shake this off, (which he usualy does) and rebound Saturday.

- We’d say great effort by Johnson, but all he had to do was stop eight shots.

- What a great game for Jordan Staal. With Bill Guerin out, he inherited some of Guerin’s duties near the net on power plays. We would argue he did better than Guerin usually does from near the cage. He ended up getting picking up a point at least on the Penguins’ two goals. He finished with two goals and an assist.

- Again, we realize it was born out of necessity, but the seven-man defensive group needs to go.

- Martian Gaborik much mean a lot in New York.

- Malkin ended up with “only” one assist, but we really like his play tonight. He was very aggressive. He attacked the offensive zone and he set up Pascal Dupuis on a few quality chances.

- Are we alone in wondering if Dupuis desersve a better chance on the second line with Malkin and Alexei Ponikarovsky instead of Fedotneko?

- Chris Kunitz stepped up in the absense of Guerin. He went to the net, got dirty and created all sorts of havoc for Lundqvist.

- We like what we saw out of Talbot tonight. He was physical and he had some hop in his step. Slowly but surly, he’s finally starting to get int ot game shape.

- The Penguins blew the Rangers away in shots, 55-16.

- From the third period on, the Penguins had 23 shots. The Rangers had one.

- Dupuis led the game with 10 shots. Dang.

- Jordan Staal and Malkin were second with eight each.

- Erik Christensen led the Rangers with five. Fire Ray Shero.

- Marc Staal led the game with 28:12 of ice time.

- Sergei Gonchar led the Penguins with 25:14.

- The Penguins had a 35-30 lead in faceoffs (54 percent).

- Crosby and Jordan Staal were each 13 for 21 (62 percent).

- Chris Drury was 9 for 13 (69 percent).

- Dan Girardi led the game with five blocked shots.

- Gonchar and Malkin each led the Penguins with three.

- Malkin extended his scoring streak to 15 games. That matches a career high.

- Alex Goligoski scored his first goal since Nov. 3. Yeesh.

- Brent Johnson might never have an easier win. He as forced to stop all of four shots.

- Mike Rupp has now appeared in 399 career games.

- Jordan Staal moved past Greg Polis for 47th place on the Penguins’ all-time scoring list. Staal now has 161 points while Polis has 158.

- Fedotenko moved past Rod Buskas and Bryan Smolinski for 112 place. All three have 64 points but Fedotenko has more goals.

- Goligoski’s point was the 50th of career.
