First things first, here is the latest instalment of Yinz Luv Da Guins.
As I’m sure you all know by now, much of the live footage in Jim’s episodes is captured during meetups at Foley’s in NYC, arguably the best group of people to watch a game with if you’re not blessed enough to be partying it up in front of / inside of Mellon Arena. It’s not all fun and games though. During the first round of the playoffs, the meetup.com group has raised about $300 for the Mario Lemieux Foundation, through the sale of $1 raffle tickets. Foley’s has been donating free pizzas every game, and there is a mega raffle at the end of the playoffs for a free season of NHL Center Ice. This upcoming round, there will be new exciting raffle prizes, so be sure to stop by if you’re in the area!

Which, inspired me to “grow” a beard of my own.

As for news on the on-ice product, Tyler Kennedy and Jordan Leopold practiced again today. They were both injured by Andy Sutton last round.
Not sure what Fedotenko was up to today, but I’m sure he spent the better part of today reflecting upon the 24th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. He’s spoken of his concerns in the past, and I know that time has really had an affect on everyone from that area.
The Boston Bruins wrapped up their series against the Buffalo Sabres tonight, therefore thePenguins will either be facing the Bruins or the Canadiens in Round 2. Habs – Caps game 7, Wednesday at 7 pm. Go Habs!
Last, but CERTAINLY not least, Geno’s parents are coming to Pittsburgh for the second round!
