It seems pretty ridiculous at this point that Penguins can’t go a single game without losing someone to an injury. Latest news, Alex Goligoski is out for 2 – 3 weeks with the notorious “lower-body” injury. Gogo has been Penguins top d-man this season with 6 goals and 8 assists. Losing him now will definitely have negative effect on the team. Get well soon Alex!

Sunday, November 15th, 2009What a huge game for Penguins last night! Probably one of the most important and exciting games this season. Penguins were able to end their losing streak of 4 games and get back at Boston Bruins who shutout Penguins 3-0 just 4 days earlier. As expected the return of Evgeni Malkin once again reunited double headed monster as Geno joined Sid on the same line. Geno was able to record 3 assists. Sid was finally able to bury one with a sweet redirect from a Gogo’s cannon shot. If you want to know more about Gogo’s big guns check out his shot that broke the glass and sent Tim Thomas to locker room for diaper change.

Friday, November 13th, 2009If you don’t know this famous Russian painting then you are missing out. It depicts Three Great Russian Warriors, Evgeni Malkin, Sergeni Gonchar, and Ruslan Fedotenko. These Warriors guard Russia day and night, shield it from all dangers, and kill it’s enemies.

check out how intense Gonchars playoff beard is
Although two of the Great Warriors have been wounded in the heat of the battle, one of them has finally recovered and ready to rejoin his ranks in the quest that yields death and destructions. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, penguins and penguinettes please welcome back THE GREAT EVGENI MALKIN!!! (more…)
Pens vs Devils tonight! Steve Mears vs Tom Grimm in the morning!
Thursday, November 12th, 2009Ben Lovejoy was on the ice with Penguins for the morning practice skate. Glad to see he finally came to his senses and decided to join us. We expect great things from him, and this is his chance to finally show us what he has got. In other words no pressure! Worst case scenario is you are going to get injured in your first NHL game. What are the chances of that happening?
Maybe you’ll get trapped in the trapezoid behind the net and then get hit in the head. Yeah take that NHL! Keep your head up Ben and don’t suck.
Conspiracy Theory and Ben Lovejoy … welcome to the NHL!!!
Wednesday, November 11th, 2009So Brooks Orpik is out … who is a better man to take his place than Ben Lovejoy! I kind of hoped for this just didn’t know it was going to come at the cost of losing our sweet Candy Man. Sad but true story. Moving on … i am sprading rumors that veteran to American Hockey League, Ben, is coming to join the Penguins 1337 ranks. Check out his numbers for last year, 7 goals – 24 assists:

Ben was kept out of Penguins roster due to his shoulder injury that occurred during an exhibition game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sept. 22, or was he? Anyway, lets welcome Ben to NHL! (more…)
Pens vs Bruins Tonight. Welcome to NHL Deryk Engelland!
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009With quarter of roster out with injuries its not going to be easy night for Penguins tonight. Sid says he is up for the challenge and ready to roll. Dan Bylsma has a few tricks up his wizard sleeve as well. He is mixing up 1st and 2nd lines. Sidney Crosby will get a chance to play with Matt Cooke and Ruslan Fedotenko while Jordan Staal will enjoy company of Bill Guerin and Chris Kunitz. Canadian Deryk Engelland who was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will be making his NHL debut tonight vs Boston Bruins. Deryk will replace injured Kris Letang who is out for two weeks with shoulder contusion. I was hoping that Ben Lovejoy would take Letang’s place but i guess its not happening.

Penguins Coming Home And I Am In Tears! Berry vs Errey!
Friday, November 6th, 2009Some of you might remember my post about Sara E. a talanted girl i met on facebook. Well facebook strikes once again this time we are doing it video style. Ladies and gentelman please meet beautiful and talanted Lauren B. The first girl who made me shed a tear. I recall seeing her first version of this video and as you can see from my comments about two weeks ago i almost cried. Today she posted her second version of this video on my facebook wall. Of course seeing goon Godard playing with kids could make ones heart skip a beat. However, when i saw Mellon Arena and Marc-Andre Fleury giving out pizzas i thought well this will be the last year you will be coming to this home. My eyes felt wierd filling up with some unknown liquid substance, a feeling i have never felt before. It was wierd and all. Nevertheless i give this video sixty six thumbs up! Great job! If you don’t cry while watching this video you might as well have no heart and should head to Emerald City.
Tanger’s first of the season, Sid in goal
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009WOOOOO!
Letang finally got his first goal of the season last night against the Ducks.
This is a moment I have been waiting for since, well, opening night. Opening night, at Nassau Coliseum with 120+ Penguins fans, I would have loved Letang to get his first of the year. Last Saturday, I was in attendance at Nationwide Arena, and again would have loved to see Tanger’s first goal in person. All I got that night was to see him fall down while trying to take a shot early in the first, miss two wide open nets in the final 30 seconds of overtime, and miss in a shootut. But it’s ok, the Penguins still won, and I still knew his day would come. (more…)
