What a huge game for Penguins last night! Probably one of the most important and exciting games this season. Penguins were able to end their losing streak of 4 games and get back at Boston Bruins who shutout Penguins 3-0 just 4 days earlier. As expected the return of Evgeni Malkin once again reunited double headed monster as Geno joined Sid on the same line. Geno was able to record 3 assists. Sid was finally able to bury one with a sweet redirect from a Gogo’s cannon shot. If you want to know more about Gogo’s big guns check out his shot that broke the glass and sent Tim Thomas to locker room for diaper change.
Of course the highlight of the game is the amazing last second goal by Bill Guerin. Here is how it all went down … 3rd period. About half into 3rd Mark Eaton puts Pens ahead by one. About 3 minutes later some idiot from Bruins named Bitz runs into Matt’s Cooke stick and gets a nose bleed. Boo hoo he cries to mommy and Cooke gets double minor. Few ticks into the power player another Bruins idiot named Wheeler trips over Sid’s stick. Sid is sent to the box. 5 on 3. Bruins score, tied game. Fast forward … about 3 minutes left in the game, Bruins able to score a questionable goal that might have been redirected with a hand. Review showed its a goal … whatever we still got time. Less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd Jordan shoots Thomas falls into the net with what possibly could have been a goal. None of the cameras were able to reveal anything conclusive … no goal. Refs suck but whatever we still got time. With about minute and a half left in the game Penguins pull Johnson. Empty net. Penguins stuggle to get anything going till last 10 seconds. Geno pick up the puck in his own zone, carries it into the Bruins zone. He has Sid and Bill G to his right. He makes a pass past Sid putting his trust and the fate of this game on the stick of Billy. OHHHHH BILLY! HE SHOTS AND HE SCORES!!!!!!!!!!!! MouthFullOfTang and I go into rage and scream our hearts out in disbelief. What a shot!!! About 15 seconds later my landlord rings the door bell to find out who is getting murdered in my apartment. With 0.4 seconds left on the clock this has got to be some kind of a new record. Bill Guerin is the man! He was long overdue for a goal and what a beauty that was. Here is a video recap:

To my big surprise Pascal Dupuis had a huge game as well. After many hours of intense thinking and contemplating,weighting out all of my options i am left with no other option but to start my own Penguins cult. There have been so many games where i was verbally abusing Pascal in every imaginable way. And every game i did this he was able to come back and do something amazing after. I think i owe it to the Pittsburgh Penguins organization to start this cult called “Pascal The Birth Canal”. The whole cult consists of Pens fans verbally abusing Pascal Dupuis to cheer him on and keep him on his toes. We won’t let you forget how bad you suck Pascal so you always work harder! You are welcome. In all seriousness Pascal had amazing stretch of games and we have to give him some props. I think i told this to someone … if Dan Bylsma kept a star chart for all the players then Pascal Dupuis would definitely get a star last night for trying! 2 goals including OT game winning goal to mark occasion of his 100th career goal. Good job Pascal but don’t let this go to your head … you still suck and should be traded. We love you.
