First Real Post: Lord Stanley Scratched Their Names On His Fabled Cup

September 30th, 2009 by usbzoso

Lots of bling in the news today and yesterday. My dad has finally emerged from the shop in his basement after carving all the Stanley Cup rings. Rumors had it that Max Talbot did not get his ring yet because his doctor advised him against lifting anything over 3 kilos. Geno ordered gloves 2 sizes larger so that he can play while wearing his ring. You can’t get bling this big even in NYC on the streets of Chinatown! Some protests came from golfing teams of NHL for having their club logos permanently embarrassed on the shiny monster. Here is a picture of Sid with in-yo-face-pose to all those left behind. “Who is crying now!?”, he added off-the-record after the interview.

In Yo Face!

Billy G was very excited about his ring since he was able to pawn it immediately and get himself a brand new tooth! Grats Bill you look great! Just in time for his naked photo-shoot as reported by PSAMP. The rings were manufactured by Intergold corporation. Here is a better look of the ring. Enjoy more info on this beauty here.

Stanley Cup Champion 2009 Ring

Lord Stanley rose from his grave this year to personally engrave 52 new names on his fable cup. I think he did a pretty good job although he ignored my request to add my twitter handle at the end of the list. I didn’t blame him … much.

Penguins' Names Inscribed on the Cup

On a more serious note Biz Nasty was sent out to the wonderland to chase rabbits while Chris Bourque (forward) has joined the l33t ranks. Lots of confused Pens fans expressed their dissatisfaction. Looking more closely at the roster having 12 forward means having Godard on the ice every single night. (BleachReport) Real question on my mind is will it help Pens win another cup in 2010 with 3 enforcers on their roster. Probably not. You will be missed Biz Nasty … maybe not. Strengthening the Penguins roster is the defenseman Martin Skoula who will be wearing #41. Some more details on this guy from EmptyNetters.

I am really excited that blog is up just in time for the hockey season so i can make my uneducated guesses about outcomes and scores of games. This Friday after raising the new banner Penguins will face NY Strangers. Sid should be back in action that day. While its not a question who is going to win this game with the score of 3-1, i still want to predict that there will be lots of free candy given out that night. Especially looking forward to see Artem Anisimov getting his first taste of the sweet treats. (If you haven’t seen Artem score a goal in preseason against Boston Bruins you can waste 47 seconds of your life on YouTube doing just that.) Be sure to enjoy post game fireworks. Ohh yeah if you are going to the game be sure to get your butt in the seat by 7:25pm EST.
